When you open a page, our host receives your IP address, the page requested, date and time, browser type and the referring page. This is needed to deliver the page and keep it secure (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are deleted after 7 days at the latest.
We set no cookies and use no analytics. While you answer the questions, your answers stay in your own browser tab and are only sent to us with the last question; closing the tab deletes them.
When you send the form we store your name, role, company, work email, your answers about investor meetings and Europe, your mobile or WhatsApp number if you give one, the partner link and campaign tags you arrived with, the country your request came from (not your IP address), the time, and which version of the consent text you saw.
We use these details to research and draft your profile preview, to contact you about it and to arrange and hold the call (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, steps you asked for before a possible contract, and Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our interest in following up your request). Our editor is told about each new request internally, with your name, role and company and only the domain of your email address.
Right after you send the form we email you once to confirm it. If you reply, your email reaches our mailbox.
You pay on Stripe’s checkout page (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., Ireland). Stripe receives what you enter there: your name, email address, billing address, payment details and, if you give one, your tax ID, plus your company and ticker, your role and, if you tell us, who recommended Mining Profiles to you. If you came through a partner’s link, Stripe also receives the partner’s id from that link. We receive these details from Stripe, but never your full card details. The same applies if you add the video biography.
We use them to carry out your subscription or order and to issue invoices (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR; keeping invoices: Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR), and to pay the partner who recommended us (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, our interest in paying partners correctly). Right after you pay, our site reads your name and email address from Stripe, to greet you and to fill them in for the booking calendar. Stripe sends your receipts and renewal emails.
Stripe processes payment data partly under its own responsibility, for example to prevent fraud and to meet its legal duties (stripe.com/privacy). Stripe may process data in the USA, based on the EU standard contractual clauses.
The booking calendar comes from Cal.com (Cal.com, Inc., USA). When it loads, Cal.com receives your IP address and the name and email address we fill in for you; when you book, it receives the time you choose. Cal.com sends you the booking confirmation, a reminder the day before and any reschedule or cancellation emails, and adds the call with a Google Meet link to our calendar. Cal.com tells our site when you book, reschedule or cancel, so we can match the booking to your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Inside its calendar frame, Cal.com may set its own cookies.
Cal.com may process data in the USA. The transfer is based on the EU standard contractual clauses in Cal.com’s data-processing agreement.
The site, its database and its emails run on Cloudflare; booking runs on Cal.com; our mailbox, calendar and video calls run on Google Workspace (Google Meet). They process data only on our behalf, under data-processing agreements.
If your request does not lead to an order, we delete it at the latest two years after our last contact. If it does, we keep what the law requires us to keep for our records (in Germany usually six to ten years).
You can ask for access, correction, erasure or restriction of your data, and you can object to its use (Art. 15–18, 21 GDPR). Write to team@miningprofiles.com; we answer within one month. You can also complain to the Bavarian data-protection authority (BayLDA, Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, www.lda.bayern.de).
